Microsoft Exchange Server 2019 expands the Exchange Server product line with a variety of new technologies, functions and services. At the same time, Exchange Server 2019 helps lower your total cost of ownership - whether you're deploying Exchange 2019 on-premises or mailboxes in the cloud.

Exchange Server Standard Edition supports up to 5 mailbox databases and Exchange Server 2019 Enterprise Edition supports up to 50 mailbox databases, so it is designed for large organizations.

A separate server license is required for each running instance of Exchange Server. This applies regardless of whether the instance is running in the physical operating system environment or in a virtual operating system environment. An instance is considered to be executed when the server software has been loaded into the working memory and its instructions have been executed.

Intel CPU with x64 architecture. This must support the Intel 64 architecture "Intel EM64T". Alternatively, an AMD CPU is required which supports the "AMD64" platform.

RAM: at least 4 GB RAM (when accessed via the client), at least 8 GB RAM (mailbox)
Hard disk: At least 30 GB hard disk space on the drive of the Exchange installation
