Building on the strengths of Windows Server 2016, the Redmond-based software company is building on Windows Server 2018's DataCenter edition, helping large organizations to build a stable, powerful network structure. The new version relies on numerous improvements and exclusive functions. The server operating system is particularly advantageous for companies who want to buy Windows Server 2019 DataCenter and use it in a "hybrid cloud scenario". Part of the overall package is, among other things, the better connection to Microsoft Azure through the use of the browser-based tool "Project Honolulu".

Improved security in Windows Server 2019

Security is still a big issue in the server world. With Windows Server 2019 DataCenter Edition, Microsoft is once again responding to current threats from the World Wide Web and is improving its server operating system in many places. The cooperation with Windows Defender Advanced Threat Protection is particularly interesting for users. This protection mechanism specifically detects threats without signature files and, thanks to the cloud connection, is effective against rootkits and zero-day attacks that conventional virus scanners cannot detect. Added to this is simpler and better encryption, which also includes network traffic and virtual machines (VMs).
